Financial Aid Application - FAFSA

Welcome to the FAFSA Information web page. You may start the financial aid application process beginning January 1 for the following fall/spring terms. We encourage you to apply for financial aid early and to apply by OU's recommended financial aid application deadlines. OU's School Code is 003184.

The easiest way to apply for financial aid is to follow the first 3 links to the left.
  1. The financial aid application checklist helps you keep track of the financial aid process.

  2. Then, be sure to apply for a U.S. Department of Education PIN (Personal Identification Number) before filing your FAFSA on the Web.
    • If parent information is required on the FAFSA your parent must apply for a PIN in their name.
    • Using the PIN will allow you to sign your FAFSA application electronically, which can save processing time.
    • You can use your PIN to access your loan history and other important financial aid information.
    • When you apply for the PIN you will be asked a challenge question that you will have to remember.
    • Do not share your PIN with anyone!!

  3. Finally, complete the FREE FAFSA on the Web application. Step by step instructions are provided on the FAFSA website including online help features. You may also call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1.800.4.FED.AID Monday-Friday 8:00 am to midnight and Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
